The Pan America engines are unique compared to other Harleys due to their stressful memberships. Where we mean the engine is used as part of the chassis. The Pan America uses an electronically controlled throttle, which means it has a wide variety of driving modes. In addition to the usual Rain, Road, and Sport modes you'd expect to see, there are Off-Road and Off-Road Plus modes, as well as a variety of user-configurable settings for both on- and off-road driving. Plus, the Pan America's dashboard is a really nice looking TFT unit that can be tilted. Combined with the anti-glare glass for the screen means it should be easy to read in any light condition.Other electronics include a heated grips in a special version, a standard cruise control, and LED lights with adjustable headlights. One thing you won't see is Apple CarPlay or Android Auto integration.Harley engineers don't want to share screen real estate with that kind of mirroring setup. Instead, it chose to handle all the media and navigation integration with Bluetooth and the app.We were curious how well it will perform compared to the CarPlay integration from Honda and Indian.s a Harley, you know that there will be a wide variety of factory-approved accessories available for the Pan America at launch, which will include multiple luggage sets, high-performance exhaust pipes, high-vents, and more.
